If your craft room is getting out of control it may be time to take a step back and reevaluate. The past year has had us all spending more time at home and devoting more time to our favorite crafts. Along with more time, we’ve most likely devoted more supplies too. More supplies means our craft is now taking up more space! We’ve got a few tips to help you organize your craft supplies.

TIP #1
Keep what you love, get rid of the rest. The Marie Kondo theory works for your craft supplies too. Old markers that don’t write anymore need to go. That yarn you thought you’d love but now hate? Donate it or find someone else who likes it! A particular fabric that just doesn’t spark joy? You’re never going to use that. Getting rid of these items will automatically clear up space in your craft area and allow you to then organize the products you DO love!
TIP #2
Find the right storage containers. Perhaps clear storage boxes neatly labeled are best for your scrapbooking. If you’re into knitting, pretty baskets can work well for holding yarn. If a more complex hobby like stained glass or jewelry making is yours, you’ll need a variety of storage containers to hold beads, glass, tools, etc.
TIP #3
Like with like. Keep all your scissors together, your stickers together, similar fabrics and patterns together, etc. This even goes for a baking hobby. Keep all your icing instruments together and all your baking cookbooks together too. This way, no matter the hobby, it’s easier to find exactly what you’re looking for when you need it. If all your novelty scissors for scrapbooking are in once place, finding the ones that make scalloped edges is a breeze!
