The picture above shows side wall and front wall overhead cabinets. These particular units are 22″ deep by 36″ tall, which are large overheads, but if constructed and installed correctly they work just fine. There is support for the overheads from the pegboard framing and the framing behind the storage compartments on the front wall. The front wall also has a collapsible work bench.
Below, starting on the left, there is a 4′ laminate work bench with a 15″ deep overhead cabinet above, one adjustable shelf in each. 2 floor to ceiling cabinets, first one is 22″ wide, next is 44″ wide, both are 24″ deep. Last cabinet on right (there are actually two, but only one is shown) is 72″ tall by 48″ wide by 24″ deep. Floor to ceiling cabinets have 3 adjustable shelves, 72″ tall units have 2 adjustable shelves.
Below, on the left side of the garage, are 4 cabinets, each are 96″ tall by 48″wide by 24″ deep, 3 adjustable shelves in each. The top of the cabinets can be used for additional storage as shown. Wall hanging fixtures were added to accomplish the goal of the home owner to have nothing more than necessary on the floor.
Like all garage storage solutions, the design here was customized for the client. Having space to hang bikes and also cabinet space to hide tools and clutter, helps to keep this garage organized and clutter free. Above is a second custom garage storage project. The blank wall is the before and the cabinets with waterproof toe base is the after. The 3 drawers on the RH end are for picture/painting storage, the 2 smaller ones are 36″ wide x 36″ tall x 20″ deep, the large one in the middle is 64″ wide x 36″ tall x 20″ deep. Each drawer has removable dividers and holds 6 paintings. The toe base is stainless look covered plastic with vents, the idea is that melting snow off the car won’t hurt it and with the vents any moisture underneath will dry rather than mold, I’ve been told it works great. The wall with the bikes hanging from aluminum slot track shows a work area with removable acrylic dividers over the work area, drawers, and storage cabinets.
Before and after photos of garage cabinets supported by steel adjustable legs. The space below the cabinets is approx. 4.5″ and can easily be cleaned with a leaf blower or vacuum. The benefit is that no water damage can occur from snow melt off car in the winter.
